PUPPY HEALTH AND SALES AGREEMENT

This agreement is between Lorie Boodry, "Breeder" and __________________ _______, "Buyer" for the purchase of one purebred Boxer puppy. No verbal agreements will be entered into.

PURCHASE PRICE: Purchase price of $_____ paid by the Buyer to the Breeder. A non-refundable deposit of $_______ has been made on _______ and the puppy will be held until fully weaned, vaccinated and de-wormed (approximately 8 weeks of age). At that time, the balance of $______ plus travel expense (if required) in the amount of $___20.00___ (total final payment of $_______ ), must be paid in full. If not, the deposit is forfeited. In the event of a forfeiture we maintain ownership of the puppy and have the right to re-sell or make alternate arrangements for the placement. Note* Final payment must be made in cash or money order, no exceptions.
TRANSPORTATION COSTS: All transportation costs will be paid by the buyer. Transportation costs are based on type. Airline costs are approximately $280 and must be prepaid. Delivery charges are based on mileage and we charge $35.00 per every 100 miles that we have to drive. If we have multiple puppies going to the same area, we will split transportation costs amongst the buyers.
HEALTH AND HEALTH GUARANTEE:
The breeder has made every effort to provide you with a healthy puppy. We guarantee this puppy is purebred and registerable with the AKC. We guarantee that all vaccinations and worming have been given as stated on the vaccination schedule.We require the buyer to have this puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian of their choice within 72 hours of taking possession of this puppy. (If you choose not to do this, this agreement is null and void). If this puppy is found to have a life threatening hereditary congenital defect, a replacement puppy of equal value will be given, provided that the seller is notified within 24 hours after the exam. This puppy must be returned , within 24 hours, to the breeder along with the AKC registration papers and a signed document from the licensed Veterinarian stating the defect or problem. This return of the puppy will be at no expense to the breeder. The breeder, is not responsible for any veterinarian bills acquired by you, the buyer.
This guarantee does not include injuries, fleas, mites, cocei, giardia or any other intestinal
worms/parasites, as they are common in dogs and puppies. Breeder will not be responsible for Parvo, Distemper, or Corona Virus after the puppy leaves our care, as these are highly contagious diseases and they can be contacted immediately after leaving the Breeder. We will not be responsible for illness or health problems which are diagnosed after this time period, except where stated in this contract.
Your puppy is guaranteed for 1 year from the date of birth against life threatening congenital defects. If within that time a life threatening congenital defect (not to include parvo virus, distemper virus, stress, heartworms or any nutrition related disease) is found by a licensed veterinarian, the Breeder will replace the puppy with another puppy of same breed and quality. The replacement will be subject to availability (within 12 months). The puppy will be replaced and no monies will be refunded. The purchaser must provide a written statement from a licensed veterinarian. The breeder is not responsible for any veterinarian bills acquired by you, the buyer. We will not be responsible for illness or any health problems, which are diagnosed after this time period.
In the unlikely event of this puppy's death in the first year, due to congenital defects, a statement from a licensed veterinarian confirming such an event and cause is required before any action will be taken by the breeder. If cause is unknown, an autopsy is required. The breeder will not be responsible for veterinary or medical bills incurred.
Your puppy has been on a vaccination and de-worming schedule here and is up to date and these records will be provided to you. Please take these records to your veterinarian, as it is very important to continue with these vaccinations and worming after you get your puppy home. Please do not forget the annual booster after that.
OWNERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Buyer agrees to maintain the dog in a humane environment and properly train and care for it. Specifically the dog will be properly licensed and Inoculated against rabies, distemper, parvovirus, and other communicable diseases as recommended by a qualified veterinarian. The dog will not be allowed to roam and will be socialized and obedience trained appropriately.LIMITATIONS OF CONTRACT: This contract applies to the original puppy and original buyer only and is non-transferable to a second party. This contract is designed to protect both the breeder and the buyer. By signing, all parties agree to all clauses of this contract.
